Tuesday at 4:30 is the deadline for parents to make sure their children are up to date on vaccinations.
Kids born between 2008 and 2013 face suspension from school as of Wednesday September 19, if the local health unit doesn't have the required documentation.
The local health unit's Manager of Healthy Schools, Stacy Manzeroll, says to avoid suspension clinics are being held on Tuesday at the Health Unit offices in Windsor and Leamington.
"So that means families are able to come in, they can submit the information that we're requesting of them, ask questions and if their child is missing any vaccines we can administer those vaccine at that time as well," says Manzeroll.
Manzeroll adds in many cases, students are up to date on their shots but the health unit hasn't been notified.
"A lot of times, really, what we're missing is the information," says Manzeroll. "When you receive a vaccine from your healthcare provider, we have to remind parents to report that so we can document it and the records can be up to date."
Manzeroll says suspension notices have already been issued to parents who have not provided up to date immunization records.
