Strong winds in the forecast could lead to flooding in Windsor-Essex.
The Essex Region Conservation Authority has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement which is in effect until 12pm on Tuesday.
Winds from the southeast up to 50km/h are expected later today and tonight before shifting to the west/southwest.
ERCA says the wind, combined with the elevated lake levels, could cause flooding, nearshore erosion, damaging waves and spray.
Waves on Lake St. Clair could reach 0.5 metres and up to one-metre on Lake Erie, which will impact the shoreline between the Wheatley Harbour and Point Pelee the most.
Low areas along the Lake St. Clair shoreline between Belle River the Windsor may also experience flooding as well as the low areas along the Lake Erie shoreline.
