A strike vote is set for 2,300 unionized workers at Caesars Windsor.
Bargaining has been underway since mid-February and Unifor Local 444 has now met with a conciliator.
Local President James Stewart says four meetings are set to take place March 21st.
"They give us or don't give us a mandate for strike authorization at that time," says Stewart. "Usually they do, but the goal is really to get a strong strike mandate from our members so the casino knows that to move the needle forward we're willing to withdraw our labour, if it needs to happen"
Steward adds, "we are a long way off, but there is a long time to go. We still have lots of time to reach a deal. So I'm not concerned at all at this point. The company has been trying to resolve our issues, we've been trying to push the needle forward on a bunch of other issues and ultimately we have until April 4th"
Of the 2,300 workers at Caesars, approximately 1,500 are full time employees.
