Windsor City Council is supporting a streetscaping project on Wyandotte St. E. from the downtown core to the Walkerville-area.
During budget deliberations, council approved $1-million from its enhanced capital budget for the project.
Wyandotte Town Centre Business Improvement Association Chair Tamara Kowalska says the funding is for phase one of the project. It will include banners across the street to create a world marketplace feel along with new lights and posts.

Kowalska says businesses in the area are excited.
"We do know as well that when we can attract investment into an area it does definitely benefit that area and we want to benefit the area as well as benefit the city," says Kowalska.
Phase one of the project is $5.6-million. BIA has already committed $400,000 towards the project.
The BIA intends to begin the phase within the next year.
