Guelph skates past the Ottawa 67s to win the OHL title in six games
Isaac Ratcliffe scored twice and added two assists in a five-goal second period as the Guelph Storm defeated the Ottawa 67's 8-3 to win the Ontario Hockey League final in six games.
Dmitri Samorukov chipped in with two goals and two assists of his own for Guelph, which advanced to the Memorial Cup for the first time since 2014.
Playoff scoring leader Nick Suzuki had a goal and two assists, and Cedric Ralph and Domenico Commisso had a goal and an assist for the Storm, while Keegan Stevenson rounded out the scoring.
Noel Hoefenmayer, Kody Clark and Sasha Chmelevski replied for Ottawa, which got 31 stops from Cedrick Andree.
The Memorial Cup begins Friday in Halifax, with the host Mooseheads playing the WHL Champions, while Guelph's first game is Saturday against the Quebec Champs, from Rouyn-Noranda.
Prince Albert and Vancouver play game seven, in the WHL Final Monday night in Saskatchewan.
