A backhoe was stolen from a job site on Mersea Road 6 and then used to breakin to a fenced compound
OPP in Leamington are investigating one theft, that led to another.
Police say sometime overnight from March 7 to March 8, a 2003 John Deer 310SG backhoe was stolen from a job site on Mersea Road 6.
Then on March 9, 2020 around 4:30 a.m., the same backhoe was used in a break-in to a fenced compound on Lakeshore Road 125.
A surveillance video captured a suspect using the backhoe to pull a large spool of wire cable through the fence and steal it from the scene.
