A standoff came to a positive outcome in Walkerville.
Windsor police responded to a domestic dispute call on Marion Ave. near Erie St. E. just after 8 am Sunday.
Investigators had reason to believe at least one person in the home had a weapon, according to Sgt. Steve Betteridge.
"There was information that one of the parties involved had a weapon," says Betteridge. "Three people exited the house and were arrested without incident, that being two adult males and one adult female. There was a fourth adult male still in the residence, he was refusing to come out."
Betteridge says patrol officers made the right call when it became clear the man would not comply.
He told AM800 News steps were taken to assure the public remained safe.
"Patrol officers at the initial stage made numerous efforts to communicate with this person with negative results,'" he says. "Given the information that our officers had about a potential weapon being involved the incident was correctly dealt with and coded as a barricaded armed person."

Betteridge says officers were able to talk the man down around 3:30 pm.
"Through negotiations with the the target individual, he did come out of the residence eventually and was arrested without incident," Betteridge says.
He says a 44-year-old Windsor man is in custody.
Betteridge went on to thank the public for getting the word out to avoid the area on social media, allowing the officers to better, "manage the scene."
The investigation is ongoing.
