Christina Nguyen qualifies for the Provincials in Barrie.
The St Clair College badminton team was competing in the West Regionals at Conestoga in Kitchener and singles player Christina Nguyen qualified for Provincials at Georgian College in Barrie.
Nguyen placed third in her pool with a 3-2 record to crossover in the quarter finals where she beat her opponent from the University of Toronto at Mississauga.
She lost a tough match against Conestoga in the semi finals, but defeated a player from Fanshawe College to qualify for the Ontario Championships which start on February 17th.
The St Clair men's doubles and mixed doubles teams both finished fourth, at the Kitchener tournament.
