There are ten candles on the cake to celebrate St. Clair College's move to downtown Windsor.
It was ten years ago today on March 9 that the city passed the keys for the Cleary International Centre to the college for $1.
Vice-President of Communications and Community Relations John Fairley calls the move a "game-changer".
"It has had a major impact on us as a college," says Fairley. "Being able to have the banquet facility, centre for the arts as well as having a 1,200 seat theatre which is home to many theatre groups and rentals during the year, the home of Windsor Light."
Fairley points out that close to 1,000 staff and students work daily, Monday to Friday, in downtown Windsor.
The 40,000 sq ft. St. Clair Centre for the Arts is home to the School of Media, Art and Design.
Staff, students and the public took part in a cake-cutting ceremony today.
