The Windsor Spitfires have made a big trade.
Following the team's win against the 67s, the Spits traded forward Logan Brown and defenceman Austin McEneny to the Kitchener Rangers.
Coming to Windsor are defenceman Grayson Ladd from Kent Bridge near Chatham and several draft picks: Saginaw's 2nd in 2018, Kingston's 2nd in 2019, Saginaw's 3rd in 2019 and Kitchener's 5th in 2019.
Ladd was Kitchener's first round pick in 2017.
"Once again, this is a hard deal to make," says Spits General Manager Warren Rychel. "But there's no sense in doing this (rebuilding) unless you go the whole way."
He believes Ladd will be a great addition to the team's young defensive core and adds the trade makes sense for both clubs and all players involved.
Brown was the first round pick of the Ottawa Senators and began the season playing a few games with the club in the NHL.
