Windsor opens the Memorial Cup tomorrow night against the Quebec league champion Saint John Sea Dogs.
"I'm hoping that I trained hard enough and worked hard enough that I'm ready to go, and I feel that I am, and that our team is," says Stanley. "You know, there's three great teams coming in and we're going to be ready for Friday. I'm going to play simple for sure to start — that's my game. Then we'll move on from there and see how it's going. Just going to do what I can and do whatever it takes to help this team win."
The 18-year-old Stanley (who'll turn 19 during the tournament — May 26) played only 35 regular season games while collecting four goals and 17 points.
Saint John cruised through the QMJHL playoffs going 16-2.
