Hayden McCool had a goal and two assists and Aaron Luchuk scored the winner late in the third as the Spitfires beat Hamilton 5-3 to snap a three-game losing skid.
Adam Laishram, Graham Knott and Luke Boka also scored for Windsor (30-11-7) and Mikhail Sergachev chipped in with three assists.
The Spitfires were missing seven regulars from the lineup, including Gabe Vilardi and Michael DiPietro as they are in Quebec City for tonight's CHL Top Prospects Game.
The Spits next home game is Thursday at the WFCU Centre against Saginaw, then it's off to Kitchener and Owen Sound on the weekend.
The Spits are second in the West Division standings, two points back of the Soo Greyhounds.
