The Spitfires take on the Sarnia Sting Tuesday night in the annual Mickey Renaud tribute game at the WFCU Centre.
Renaud, the former Spitfire captain passed away from a heart ailment twelve years ago, February 18, 2008 and the team has played every year since on the anniversary of his death.
The team will hold a brief ceremony prior to tonight's game to remember their "Captain Forever."
As for the game, Windsor's looking for a fourth consecutive win, coming of a successful road trip earning victories in Peterborough, Kingston, and Ottawa.
Spits winger Matthew Maggio says after dropping the last game against Sarnia, they have to be ready Tuesday night.
"It's definitely a grind, and we've had a lot of games recently but we know we can't take them lightly. They've got a lot of skill up front and we know what they can do to us. They played us real hard a few weeks ago, and they're a team not to be taken lightly."
Maggio says it doesn't matter where these teams are in the standings, it's always a tough contest against a division rival.
"Especially them being only an hour and a half away and kind of a division rival for us. Definitely not a team we want to mess around with tomorrow and we know we've got to bring it, and I think you're going to see a good game from us."
Broadcast time on AM800 is 6:30pm.
