The Windsor Spitfires are cleaning out their lockers today.
The Spits were eliminated from the post-season yesterday afternoon. They lost in six games in their first round playoff series against the Sarnia Sting.
Spits forward Chris Playfair says the team is looking to improve next season.
"I think we still all know we still got a long way to go but I think we really showed what we can do and the future is bright for us," says Playfair.
He says the team has high expectations for next season.
"I think we just got to take that into our off season. I think we all got to find an edge this off season and want to improve more than everybody else in this league."
Despite what was a re-tooling season for the Spitfires, Playfair says the team never gave up.
"No matter what the situation is, you show up to the rink every day the same way and you just want to put in the work so you can go out and perform in the games," says Playfair.
General Manager Warren Rychel and the coaches conducted exit interviews with the players.
