The Windsor Spitfires won their third straight game taking down the Guelph Storm 2-1 in a shootout Saturday at home.
Spitfire goalie Michael DiPietro made 31-saves to pick up first star honours, but he says he doesn't like shootouts.
"Not a big fan. It's one of those things, I'd rather have a 3-on-3 to finish it, but when you come out on the right end of things they're not so bad. If we win more shootouts I think I can gravitate towards liking them more."
Head Coach Trevor Letowski says, after a week off, the team got out to a slow start, but DiPietro kept them in it.
"I didn't like the first period. I was worried. Just when you have that much time off a game-like situation, I thought we were pretty loose. I thought Mikey (DiPietro) made some big saves in the first to keep us in it."

Windsor is right back at it Sunday afternoon as they host the Saginaw Spirit.
The AM800 pre-game show gets underway at 3:30pm.
