The Windsor Spitfires OHL season has come to an end at the hands of the rival London Knights.
After a 5-2 loss at home Thursday night, Windsor was swept by the Knights in its first round playoff series four games to none.
Tyler Angle and Connor Corcoran were the Spitfire goal scorers in the final game of the 2019 campaign.
Angle says the team played well and has nothing to be ashamed of.
"All game I think we played good. Our effort was there. We're a better team than we were in the standings. We added an extra level coming into the playoffs, I think we turned it on a bit going into that second game, but the last two games at home, obviously, we showed a lot of pride in front of our fans and our effort was there."
He says it was a tough loss, but the team will bounce back.
"You create all these relationships with these guys in the room all year. I think, just looking into the future right now, all these young guys coming in and the young guys we have, I think the future is big here in Windsor and we've got another championship coming down the road."

Windsor head coach Trevor Letowski says the team is young and will come back stronger next year.
"We have a long ways to go, we know that. We get almost everybody back and it's going to be exciting here in Windsor and that's hard to understand now, it's so fresh, but I think we learned a lot from this series."
The London Knights now advance to take on the Saginaw Spirit which swept the Sarnia Sting Thursday night as well.
