The Windsor Spitfires know their first round playoff opponent will present a tough challenge.
Game One of the series has Windsor in London to play the Knights Friday night.
Associate Coach Jerrod Smith says the battle to get to the playoffs has made the players "battle tested" already.
"Our guys showed a lot of resiliency the last couple of weeks coming back in those games and earning a point. . Didn't quite get the job done in overtime in shootouts, but getting those single points helped us along the way"
Smith says they know the Knights won't be easy to beat.
"I think our guys are really excited for the challenge, we know what the challenge presents for our team and they've got a lot of good players. I think we're going to do our best to prepare this week, have our guys really dialled in on systems and structure and give it our best effort"
He admits entering Budweiser Gardens Friday will be difficult but will help the players in their development.
Smith says both the young goalies are playing well.
"A decision really hasn't been made yet who we're going to start but you know we feel comfortable with both guys giving ourselves a chance to win and one of the two are probably going to take the reins right, so it'll be interesting to see"
Up to now Colton Incze has been seen as the likely top 'tender but Kari Piiroinen has played well in recent games.
