A 6-5 overtime win for the Windsor Spitfires gives the team a measure of payback against the Kitchener Rangers.
The Spits won on home ice after a 4-3 loss on the road in Kitchener on Friday.
Luke Boka scored the overtime winner.
"Obviously, kind of had a sour taste in our mouth from [Friday] we rebounded, but it's pretty unfortunate that we gave up a two-goal lead and had to go into overtime — glad we could end it.," says Boka, who scored for his second straight game.
Logan Brown had a hat trick for the Spits, but didn't see the hats reign down.
"Definitely felt good," says Brown. "That was a real tense game out there and kind of back and forth — felt a little bit like a playoff game. To be able to contribute like that, that's what I expect of myself. It's good to get the hat trick even though there were no hats on the ice."
Captain Aaron Luchuk continued his stellar play for the Spitfires notching a goal and two assists while Tyler Angle scored for a second straight game.
The Windsor Spitfires are next in action againts the Owen Sound Attack at the WFCU Centre.
