With the season now over for the Windsor Spitfires, one of the owners is wondering what the organization can do to increase attendance.
Warren Rychel says he understands Sunday's playoff game was on Easter but was disappointed with attendance. "I know the game was on Easter but to have 2300 in here yesterday was disappointing," says Rychel. "I know the kids asked me, we're playing good (so) why don't the fans come out? So, it's been disappointing."
He says attendance has been a battle the last couple of seasons and it's not only a Windsor Spitfires problem.
Rychel says league-wide, attendance is down about two percent.
He says he knows Spitfire fans are passionate.

He adds it's been tough.
"I know there's other things to do but we've had stars in here and we'll continue to have star players in here but disappointing," says Rychel. "We have the biggest parking lot in the league."
Rychel says a goal in the off season is to increase season ticket holders, get group sales up and attract younger fans.
