The Windsor Spitfires will welcome the Saginaw Spirit this evening at the WFCU Centre.
This is their sixth match-up for the 2023-24 season, with the two teams playing just over two weeks ago where the Spits fell 11-3.
Windsor is looking to avoid a fourth-straight loss tonight.
Overall in the standings, the Spitfires have fallen back to last place in the league, with a 13-25-3-1 record. The Spirit are sixth overall with a 29-12-0-1 record.
The first 1,500 people to attend tonight's game will receive a poster of former Spitfire, Wyatt Johnston. Johnston currently plays for the Dallas Stars in the NHL, where he has 31 points in 47 games played this season.
Windsor's current captain and top 2024 NHL Draft prospect, Liam Greentree, continues to showcase his talent, despite a tough season for the Spitfires.
Greentree is ninth in the OHL for points at 57, with 24 goals and 33 assists in 39 games played.
It's unclear whether the Spitfires captain will be on the ice tonight, as Greentree was one of 40 players selected to play in the 2024 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Moncton, New Brunswick.
The game took place on Wednesday evening, with Greentree scoring the first goal of the night, and the only goal for Team White. Team Red took the victory for the game, winning 3-1.
Puck drop for tonight's game is set for 7:05 p.m. with the AM800 pre-game show with Steve Bell getting underway at 6:50 p.m.
