The Windsor Spitfires will look to bounce back Saturday night when they host the Sudbury Wolves, after a rough showing in the club's last game.
The Spitfires were blitzed 11-3 on Wednesday night against the Saginaw Spirit, which was the team's third loss in a row.
Sudbury is also coming off a loss on Wednesday, a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Mississauga Steelheads.
After a bit of a boost following interim head coach Casey Torres taking over, Windsor's recent slump has them sitting seven points back of the final playoff spot in the Ontario Hockey League's Western Conference.
One bright spot continues to be forward Liam Greentree, who leads the Spitfires in goals with 23 and points with 50, and was listed 12th overall among North American skaters as part of the NHL Central Scouting’s Midterm Rankings on Friday.
Windsor enters Saturday night with a record of 12-22-3-1.
Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m., with the AM800 pre-game show with Steve Bell getting underway at 6:50 p.m.
