The Windsor Spitfires are hoping to secure an OHL playoff spot with a win Thursday evening when they host the Owen Sound Attack at the WFCU Centre.
"Obviously there's five games left, one of our last home games here too," says forward Tyler Angle. "Obviously to get this win tonight is pretty big in front of our own crowd and a division team like Owen Sound against us who's only a couple of points ahead of us, to get those two points away from them and two points on the board for us is pretty big for us"
Angle says the last game with the Attack had a few fights.
"We've got a physical game and our forecheck is what's going to win us this game tonight," he says. "Getting pucks out of our 'D' zone, I know our goalie is going to be there for us tonight and Owen Sound's a team that comes in pretty hard — they've got a pretty fast, physical team as well."
AM800's broadcast of the game starts at 6:30 with the pregame show.
The Otters play in St. Catherines against Niagara tonight, they're a couple of points back but have two games in hand over the Spits.
