The Windsor Spitfires open up 2019 at home as they host the Sudbury Wolves.
The team had a dismal December only picking up two wins in 10 games while losing star goaltender Michael DiPietro in a trade to the Ottawa 67's.
Spitfires head coach Trevor Letowski says the team is starting the year with a positive attitude.
"We're concerned about our team, where we're at right now," says Letowski. "We want to get out of this funk and we're preparing as hard as we possibly can."

He adds it's a tight knit group in the locker room.
"We're going to be fine," says Letowski. "We like our group. It's a great bunch of kids and we're going to dig in together and we'll find a way to get out of this. I don't question that."
Windsor currently sits in eighth place in the Western Conference ahead of only Erie and Flint.
The Spitfires and Wolves face off at 7:05pm Thursday night at the WFCU Centre.
The AM800 pre-game show gets underway at 6:30pm.
