A close game for the Windsor Spitfires as they fell 6-4 against the Frontenacs in Kingston.
The Spitfires are coming off a 5-2 victory against the Petes in Peterborough Thursday evening.
In the first period, Kingston was the first team on the scoreboard. Windsor's AJ Spellacy scored a goal for the Spits on a penalty shot just over halfway through the period.
The Frontenacs scored two goals in less than one minute to take the lead 3-1. A fourth goal by Kingston was challenged, but was deemed a good goal.
Windsor's Oliver Peer was quick to score an unassisted goal, bringing the scoreboard to 4-2 for Kingston.
In the second, Kingston scored a shorthanded goal, leading 5-2. Spitfires Liam Greentree scored his first goal of the night on a powerplay, assisted by Anthony Cristoforo and Jacob Maillet.
In the third period, a second goal by Windsor's Peer brought the team closer to the Frontenacs. Kingston was quick to score another, leading and winning the game 6-4.
The Spitfires continue their road trip where they will travel to Ottawa to take on the 67's on Sunday afternoon.
Puck drop for Sunday is set for 2 p.m., with the AM800 pre-game show with Steve Bell getting underway at 1:45 p.m.
