Curtis Douglas scores three firstperiod goals as Windsor makes it four straight wins

Curtis Douglas had a hat trick, including the winner, as the Windsor Spitfires routed Saginaw 7-1 in OHL play at the WFCU Centre.

Douglas says the Spits offence is starting to connect.

"Seven tonight and I think we've said it in the room, it's the best our offence has looked all year and we're just going to keep building off that."

Daniel D'Amico had a pair of goals for Windsor (10-9-1), while Tyler Angle and Cole Purboo also scored.

Angle says the bounces finally went their way.

"I know some nights obviously we don't get that bounce and tonight I think we were fortunate enough to get those goals, and I think it all comes down to working hard and our preperation."

Michael DiPietro made 31 saves, as the Spitfires have now won four straight to improve to 10-9-0-and 1 on the season, just a point back of the Spirit for third in the West Division.

Damien Giroux was the lone scorer for the Spirit (10-7-2).  Ivan Prosvetov combined with Cameron Lamour for 35 saves for Saginaw.

The Spits next game will be in Windsor Thursday night against Oshawa.
