Tough test for the Windsor Spitfires.
The Ottawa 67's, the number-two team in this week's CHL top 10 ranking, visit the WFCU Centre on Thursday.
The 67's have not lost in regulation in their last 10 games, while the Spitfires are coming off a win in Owen Sound on Sunday.
Forward Curtis Douglas, who scored twice against the Attack, says the team still has work to do.
"I think we just want to play our best and I think we did that in Owen Sound," says Douglas. "We have a couple of things we can do to get better. Tighten up defensively and be better in the neutral zone and the offensive zone. Our game was pretty good in Owen Sound and we can just build off that for Thursday."
Spitfires' head coach Trevor Letowski says the 67's are playing well, but his team matches up well after playing in Ottawa back on October 12th.
"Obviously a team that's playing well but is a team we're familar with, saw them up in Ottawa," says Letowski. "I felt like we played them pretty hard and we feel like we're a better team than we were a few weeks ago. If we get everyone going, then we have an opportunity to beat that team."
The Spitfires will be without rookies Jean-Luc Foudy, Will Cuylle and Kyle McDonald, who have left for New Brunswick for the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
Letowski says a shorter bench will mean more opportunities for the 10 forwards and seven defencemen who play.
"We're going to miss those three young players but it gives the others guys an opportunity because those young players have played important minutes, power play minutes and have some points to show for it, but I feel like there are other guys in our lineup that if given the opportunity can put up some points for us, so it's not an accuse for us."
The 67's have the best record in the OHL at 12-3-and-1.
The Spitfires have just three wins in their last 10 games.
