Residents in Tecumseh who lost door-to-door mail delivery a few years ago will be getting a special delivery this weekend.
The union representing Canada Post workers has organized a post card flyer drop this Saturday.
Canadian Union of Post Workers (CUPW) Local 630 President Phil Lyons says the post cards ask the Trudeau government to keep its promise and restore door-to-door delivery.
"You promised to restore door-to-door delivery back during the campaign and we want to hold your feet to the fire and make sure that happens to the people of Tecumseh," says Lyons.
"There was approximately 4,400 customers who lost door-to-door on August 17, 2015 and those are the people who we want to sign the post card and send to the Prime Minister's office."
The government is set to release its final report in June regarding the future of Canada Post.
The post card flyer drop takes place May 13th beginning at 8:30am.
A BBQ will follow at the Riverside Sportsmen's Club at noon.
