Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens has called a special council meeting for later this week to discuss downtown improvements.
It will be held on Friday, September 29th at 3pm in Council Chambers.
Dilkens says the Downtown Enhancement Strategy and Community Improvement Plan will be on the agenda.
"I just want to get it done sooner whether than later. We're working on an economic development file that, that program would be very beneficial for."
Dilkens says the business has yet to talk about its potential plans for the downtown core.
The improvement plan outlines 39 recommendations with nine different incentive programs to enact change in the core.
It will allow residents and businesses to apply for grants ranging from $500 to $50,000.
The city's planning committee approved the plan earlier this month.
