Michigan State head football coach Mark Dantonio says he's looking forward to the upcoming NCAA football season.

Speaking at Big Ten Media Days in Chicago, Dantonio says he's excited about so many players returning on defense this season.

He also commented that quarterback Brian Lewerke is healthy heading into his senior year and, while he is the Spartans' number-one QB, will compete to some degree with sophomore Rocky Lombardi.

MSU opens the season against Tulsa August 30th.
