It was fun while it lasted for the Windsor Spitfires who suffered their first lost in four games Friday night against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in OHL action Friday night.
Morgan Frost opened the scoring seven-minutes into the first period before Luke Boka pulled Windsor back within one — the deadlock would be short-lived as Greyhound Keeghan Howdeshell tied things up to head into the first intermission down 2-1.
Will Cuylle stayed hot for the Spitfires, pulling Windsor ahead on a nifty one-timer to lock things up 2-2 in the second, but the Soo bounced back again with two unanswered goals from Barrett Haydon and Frost to finish the second period 4-2.
Cole Purboo's 20th goal of the year in the third wouldn't be enough to claw back for the Spitfires who were downed 4-3 in regulation Friday.
Colton Incze stopped 38 of the 42 shots he faced in the loss
