Bell customers in the 519 area code are experiencing issues when calling 911 from a landline, resulting in a busy signal.
Essex-Windsor EMS says they have been notified that when calling from a cell phone, there may be a lengthy delay in connecting to 911.
If you require an ambulance but are experiencing issues reaching 911, you're asked to call 1-800-265-5840.
Windsor Police say the problem is a hardware issue and Bell has told them they are working to restore service.
