The St. Clair College Department of Athletics and men's soccer program has announce the signing of six top local recruits for the 2017-18 season. The men that will be joining the program are Michael Roncone, Braeden Vaile, Hassan Zaitoun, Sergei Ouditt, Christopher Spadafora and Joshua Hunter.
Michael Roncone just finished his high school diploma from St. Joseph's where he won an OFSAA Championship in 2015.
Braeden Vaile is from W.C. Kennedy Collegiate where he was an OFSAA Medalist in 2015. This past year he was the team captain and MVP at Kennedy and earned 1st Team All-City selection.
Hassan Zaitoun will be joining the Saints from Riverside Secondary School. While at Riverside his team qualified for OFSAA three times and he earned team MVP and all city MVP two years in a row in 2016 and 2017.
Sergei Ouditt is joining the Saints from Holy Names High School where he just won an OFSAA Bronze Medal. He is also a member of the Vardar Windsor club team.
Christopher Spadafora will be joining the Saints from Villanova where he was the team MVP and was an All Star this past season. Christopher, who is a 6'0' striker, has also played club soccer for Vardar Windsor where he was named the 2017 Team MVP.
Joshua Hunter is from the Marantha Christian Academy. Hunter recently won the OFSAA Colin Hood Award which recognizes academic and athletic excellence. Joshua also plays club soccer for the Macedonia team.
St. Clair finished the 2016 regular season with a record of 7-1-2 in the OCAA West Division ending up in 1st place in men's outdoor soccer.
The Saints will open their OCAA regular outdoor season on Saturday, September 9 at 4 pm at the St. Clair Main Campus Field against the Redeemer Royals.
