Old man winter will be visiting Windsor-Essex again later this week.
Environment Canada Severe Weather Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says the area is expected to get five to 10 centimetres of snow on Friday.
He says the system first showed the region getting up to 20 centimetres of snow but he says the pattern has changed and most of the snow will head east.
Coulson says Environment Canada continues to monitor the system.
"There is still some uncertainty in the final track the system is going to take so certainly good advice for folks to stay on top of the latest statements from Environment Canada," says Coulson. "If it does look like we could be looking at significant snowfall then we would be seeing some statements coming out talking about it but at this point again it looks like again those heavier amounts are likely going to stay to the east."

Coulson adds Friday will start off with some rain.
"The way things are shaping up right now, we could get a little bit of freezing rain or ice pellets mixing in with that transition," says Coulson. "Temperature likely falling during the day on Friday starting out above the freezing mark with that rain initially and then dropping as the day goes on to below freezing by the afternoon. That snow probably at its most intense Friday evening and then tapering off just after midnight."
AM800 news will continue to update the amount of snow as we head into Friday.
