There has been a slight delay in restoring the Paul Martin building in downtown Windsor.
Public Works and Government Services Canada Spokesperson Jeremy Link says due to weather and production delays, the contractor has been granted a three week extension.
The extension is at no cost to the Crown.
He says the project is progressing well.
"The facade repair on Chatham St is finished and work at the corner of Ouellette and Pitt is nearly complete," says Link.
Once the rehabilitation work is done in January, the scaffolding will be dismantled and removed.
Colonial Building Restoration out of Scarborough won the contract for about $3-million to fix the facade.
Work began back in April, 2016.
The federal government sold the building to the city for one dollar.
