The province’s Special Investigations Unit is looking into the circumstances around a fatal crash involving a Windsor police officer.
Police say an officer attempted to pull over a vehicle near Seminole Street and St. Luke Road Sunday afternoon around 4 p.m.
Police say the vehicle did not stop and collided with several vehicles a short distance away.
One person was pronounced deceased.
Seminole between Walker Road and Albert Road, and St. Luke from Reginald to Metcalfe streets were closed for 12 hours as police investigated. The area has since reopened.
The SIU has invoked its mandate and has taken over the investigation.
