The province's Special Investigations Unit is terminating an investigation of Windsor police for an incident in December.
The probe was started when a 36-year-old man injured his ankle while fleeing.
On the morning of December 24th, officers were dispatched to a crash at Empress Street and Westminster Boulevard.
A stolen car was involved in the collision and the female driver and male passenger fled on foot before police arrived.
While jumping a fence, the man fell awkwardly and injured his ankle.
When police located the man he was taken to hospital for treatment.
The SIU ended the investigation because it was determined the injury happened before police were present.
