The director of Ontario's Special Investigations Unit says charges have been laid against a Chatham-Kent Police officer following a sexual assault allegation in May 2013.
Tony Loparco says Constable Kenneth Miller, 46, is charged with sexual assault and breach of trust.
The charges are in connection with an allegation made by a 33-year-old woman.
The SIU says Miller has been ordered to appear in court in Chatham April 4th.
Loparco says the SIU will make no further comment now that the issue is before the courts.
