The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating following the arrest of two break and enter suspects in Lakeshore.
Officers were called to the scene on Lakeshore Road 303 around 10 p.m. on July 25 and when they got there, found and arrested two adults on the property.
A 49-year-old man and 30-year-old man, both from Chatham, were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the reported incident.
Both men were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court in October.
The SIU is a civilian law enforcement agency, which investigates incidents involving police officers where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
The Unit is independent of the police and is at arm’s length to the Ministry of the Attorney General.
