An elbow injury sustained by a woman during an arrest does not warrant charges according to the province's Special Investigations Unit.
The SIU looked into the October 2016 arrest of a 58-year-old woman from a shelter.
Police had responded when the woman refused to leave when asked and then threatened to harm herself.
When the female officer arrived, the woman had barricaded herself in a room at the shelter.
A struggle developed when the officer was removing the woman and another officer used a taser to subdue her.
The woman's arm was put behind her back at one point and an X-ray determined there was a fracture.

The SIU Director ruled he did not believe the complainant and does not believe the injury occurred during the struggle.
