The province's police watchdog has cleared Windsor police of any wrongdoing after a 38-year-old man in custody suffered a leg injury.
On April 12, 2018 the man was arrested by Windsor police for a domestic incident and was placed in a cell.
During the night, the man asked for his shoes and put on his left shoe.
A short time later, an officer returned and helped the man with his right shoe.
The man alleges during this interaction, he suffered a fracture leg.
The Special Investigations Unit concluded, due to video evidence, the man caused the injury to his left leg himself and therefore the investigation has concluded.
