The province's police watchdog has cleared a Leamington OPP officer from a complaint lodged over a year ago.
A complainant told the Special Investigation Unit, he had suffered a facial injury as a result of being punched by the officer.
The allegation was the result of an arrest related to drug activity.
The SIU investigation showed no physical interaction involving a punch to the face by the officer.
The investigation also determined there had been an altercation between the complainant and another person.
Medical records showed the complainant had suffered a facial injury, which was not related to the arrest.
