Fundraisers were held at area stores
A number of fundraisers held at local Shoppers Drug Marts are helping the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women.
The owners of the stores have presented at cheque to the west Windsor centre for more than $28,000.
Centre Strategic Partnerships Manager Kristin Douglas says they were "blown away" by the amount of the donation.
She says this allows them to pay off the mortgage at their current building which they hadn't expected to be able to do for some time.
