A tough task for Wheatley in the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
The Sharks head to Essex on Tuesday to battle the 73's.
Wheatley is coming off a 5-2 loss last Wednesday to Amherstburg and have only two wins since the beginning of December.
"We just got to get back to the basics," says Head Coach Josh Carnevale. "We've got to start moving our feet and be relentless on pucks like we were earlier on in the year. We've kind of slipped into a little funk here lately and we stop moving our feet and that's when teams start taking advantage of us."
He says his team also needs to stay out of the penalty box.
"I mean anytime you play any of the top teams in the league but especially Essex," says Carnevale. "Their powerplay can be lethal and deadly and it can burn you so our goal is always to stay out of the box but especially when we get into that arena for sure."
Wheatley sits seventh in the West Stobbs Division with 28 points while Essex sits in first with 55 points.
Puck drop is set for 7pm.
