The Wheatley Sharks entertain the Blenheim Blades for their Provincial Junior Hockey League (Jr. C) home opener tonight.
Sharks assistant coach Josh Carnevale says they need to use their team speed to be successful.
"We're a quick team — we're not overly big — but we can skate and we're going to try and use that to our advantage and try and get on some teams and take advantage of that asset that we have," says Carnevale.
Carnevale says a handful of key players are back in the fold again this season.
"We return one of our main scorers in Delaney MacDonald — Cole Butler and Kyle Gagnon and then on the back-end we have Curtis Rodrigues, Antonio Ciampa and Daniel Tonietto between the pipes."

He also points to three new players this season that he hopes can make a real difference.
"We brought Matt Carvalho in as our 16-year-old this year and we're pretty excited about having him on board. We also have another local product, Dawson Iles, a hard-nosed right-winger — we also welcomed back the return of Dylan Enns who was with us a few years ago then had to step away due to some personal things."
Puck drop in Wheatley is set for 7pm.
Wheatley lost 6-2 in Lakeshore during their season opener while the Blades blasted Wallaceburg 13-1 last night in its first game.
