Seven impaired driving charges over 26 hours in Windsor

A number of people have been charged with impaired driving following separate incidents in Windsor.

Between 2:30 a.m. Saturday and 4 a.m. Sunday, seven people ranging in age from 24 to 44 were arrested.

In two cases, officers found two men asleep at the wheel. One was in a parking lot on Lauzon Road, the other in a restaurant parking lot on Legacy Park Drive. Police say they both had a bottle of alcohol on the passenger seat.

A 36-year old woman was also arrested at the Ambassador Bridge, a 24-year old man and a 26-year old woman at the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel, and a 44-year old Michigan man at the Gordie Howe Bridge.
