An 85-year-old woman hit by a car in Leamington has now died of her injuries.
Provincial police in the town say the incident happened around 9:45am Wednesday at the entrance to the Superstore on Talbot St. E.
Investigators say a gold or brown coloured vehicle exiting the driveway of the store hit an electric wheelchair, knocking the woman out.
The senior, identified as Joyce Morency, was taken to the hospital with what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries but has since passed away.
Police say the vehicle failed to remain at the scene and was last seen travelling westbound on Talbot St. E.
OPP are asking the public for any information about the driver or the vehicle.
Business owners are also being to check surveillance camera video for a gold coloured vehicle similar to a Buick Rendezvous.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police or Crimestoppers.
