A month long festival of lights is almost ready to go in Jackson Park.
The second version of Bright Lights was launched by city officials, led by Mayor Drew Dilkens.
In addition to a much larger and fully re-designed lights display, there are vendor huts and improved parking.
Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is sponsoring the WE Made It Holiday Market which has 13 vendor huts.
TWEPI CEO Gordon Orr says it enhances the event and is an economic opportunity for local crafters.
"By purchasing the work of our local artisans, you not only support them but of course our community as well since the money stays right here and helps grow our local economy," says Orr.
Windsor Supervisor of Facilities, Monica Grant, is the Project Manager for Bright Lights and says it's fully reworked.

"We completely redesigned the park for this year because we've tripled the footprint. So instead of starting with what we had and just expansing it we came up with completely new ideas, the park is actually zoned and themed so it's a lot different from what you would have seen last year."
Windsor Events Initiatives Coordinator Michelle Stadegarde says they expect more people coming from out of town.

"The word has gotten out how awesome it was last year and how amazing it's going to be this year with this expanded footprint and the added new features I think we can expect a lot more people to be able to come out."
The opening ceremony is Friday, December 7, 2018 at 6:30 pm.
Bright Lights runs through until January 6, 2019.
