The Ontario Provincial Police and the U.S. Coast Guard have come up empty handed after a search of Lake St. Clair.
Just after 5:30pm Tuesday, the OPP received a call about a dog stranded on the ice near the foot of East Puce Road in Lakeshore.
Shortly after, a resident using binoculars reported seeing what appeared to be a person standing on the ice in the same area.
The U.S. Coast Guard helicopter searched the area for 90 minutes with neither the dog or the person being found.
According to OPP Sergeant Jim Root, there have been no reports of missing persons in the area.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Lakeshore OPP or Crime Stoppers.
