A warning to parents in east Windsor.
A letter was sent home yesterday to parents of students at W.J. Langlois Catholic Elementary School on Rivard Ave., near Jefferson Ave.
The letter informs parents that Windsor police were informed of an incident in the nearby Roseville Gardens community.
The letter states "a student from Roseville reported being accosted at lunch on her way to school. The man in his mid 20's has tattooed arms and was dressed in black with ripped jeans. Please be assured that these incidents did not occur on school property and W.J. Langlois students were not involved."
Parents are reminded and encouraged to speak with their children about the need to be aware of their surroundings as they travel to and from school.
Students are also encouraged to walk with a friend or a group of friends. It's also very important to remind children not to speak to strangers and never accept gifts from strangers unless first checking with parents.
