With a deadline of 4:30pm this afternoon, the health unit says roughly 1,100 students (as of 11am ) still do not have up-to-date immunization records in Windsor-Essex.
Health officials say students with incomplete records will be suspended from school tomorrow morning.
At the beginning of September more than 2,300 letters were sent out to parents and guardians informing them of the deadline.
Eariler this month, Judy Allen — manager of the Healthy Schools program with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit — told AM800 News, "We will be providing extra nurses at the immunization clinic, to assist those who do not have a primary health care provider."
